W Powerskin Primo Open back, an open-back women's racing swimsuit. Neon Blaze - special collection.
Primo is the world's first tensoelastic racing swimsuit. Primo uniquely combines effective compression with exceptionally good flexibility. The suit supports muscles while providing ample freedom of movement. This versatile new suit is suitable for all swimming disciplines and distances.
The suit is the result of several years of development and research by Arena, carried out in close cooperation with elite swimmers. The suit is incomparable to previous racing suits, as it represents a completely new technology based on textile innovation. The word Primo means "first" in Italian.
The suit's new Hyperforce™ fabric is tensoelastic (tension + elasticity); the fabric is firm but flexible. Primo universally combines the highest compression, durability, and a completely new kind of flexibility. The suit feels comfortable to wear and does not restrict movement.
The Hyperforce™ fabric has a flow-guiding surface that reduces water resistance and improves glide. The fabric is naturally water-repellent TPU fiber, which further enhances hydrodynamic performance. Thanks to the material, the suit can be recycled at the end of its life cycle.
The front of the suit features the X-tape structure, familiar from Arena's Carbon Glide suit, inside the suit. The X-shaped tapes support and stabilize the core and connect the upper body to the hips. The tapes help detect if the body rotates too far during the stroke and return to an economical, streamlined swimming position.
The back of the suit has supportive taping over the glutes and hamstrings inside the suit. The tapes lift the hips and legs, facilitate leg extension, and help maintain proper swimming posture when fatigued. The buoyancy provided by the taping can be particularly noticed during turns and dolphin kicks.
The flexible suit is easy to put on, which significantly speeds up race day routines. The Primo can be put on in five minutes, whereas traditional racing swimsuits could take 30-45 minutes to put on. Nevertheless, choose the same size as your previous Arena racing swimsuit or follow the size chart. The speed of putting on the suit does not indicate the suitability of the size. The flexible Primo is comfortable to wear while still providing top-class compression. Comfort is also enhanced by the added fabric on the shoulder straps. A silicone strip at the leg opening keeps the leg in place.

Competition suit model selection
Competition suit model selection
Choosing the right competition swimsuit can feel challenging, especially when purchasing your first one. The suitable suit depends on the swimmer's age, competition level, body proportions, and personal preferences. You can find help choosing a competition suit model in our selection guides.
Choosing the right competition suit size
Choosing the right competition suit size
A racing suit's size is primarily chosen based on the measurements provided in the manufacturer's size chart. We recommend measuring the circumferences required by the size chart and comparing them to the product-specific size chart before placing an order.
Racing suits are designed to fit very snugly, so a new suit may feel tighter than usual during the first few fittings. A suit that is too large will not provide the intended compression or optimal performance in the water.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, the choice will depend on both your body proportions and the desired fit. As a general rule, we always recommend choosing a size that accommodates all your measurements. If needed, our customer service will assist you in selecting the appropriate size.
