Open water swimming season is here!

Aquaction open products
Open water swimming is one of the most popular Finnish hobbies, but for a long time the market lacked products designed specifically for this purpose. We wanted to develop a series that meets the real needs of open water swimmers – without compromising on quality.

Winter swimming is when you swim in ice-free waters with water temperatures below ten degrees Celsius. The winter swimming season in Finland is long, lasting about eight months. Open water swimming usually refers to a short dip of less than a minute into water that has had a cut cut into the ice. Open water swimming is competed in up to the World Championship level.
We leveraged our long experience in selling world-leading brands and worked with Olympic swimmers and the Finnish Swimming and Lifesaving Association. We conducted extensive market research to find the best products and features. Based on this, we refined the know-how accumulated over the years into the Aquaction vent product line, the first product of which was the neoprene vent sock.
