Speedo swimming goggles in the test

We put three of Speedo's favorite swimming goggles to the test at the K2O swimming club, where the goggles could be tested by competitive swimmers, triathletes and fitness swimmers.

The most praised glass was the inexpensive glass aimed at open water and fitness swimming.

The swimming goggles test was carried out in cooperation with Speedo's importer Sultrade Oy.

Three glasses from Speedo's range were selected for testing.

One set of glasses with a larger lens aimed especially at fitness swimming and open water, and two sets of glasses with a smaller lens aimed at recreational and competitive swimming.

Biofuse 2.0 is a renewed and improved model of the very popular Biofuse glass.

The wide profile of the lenses offers a larger field of vision also in the side direction, so the field of vision is not as limited at the end of the glasses as in many smaller glasses.

The fit of the glasses was perceived as good by almost every tester.

The best features of the glasses were:

However, the narrower field of vision of the glasses compared to open water swimming goggles was felt by some testers to be a bit harmful when thinking about open water swimming. This is why the majority recommended glasses for pool use.

Testers got different comments about the glasses.

The best features of the glasses were:

Good fit of the glasses
Changing the nose clip by sliding it was perceived as easier than normal.

However, due to the low profile of the lenses, the ones with the longest eyelashes felt that the eyelashes would catch on the lenses. Another noteworthy comment about the glasses was that if the user has a larger than average head circumference, the tightening strap of the glasses can be unnecessarily tight even at its loosest setting.
