Thunder wetsuit for the beginner open water swimmer and triathlete
The Thunder wetsuit brings comfort to open water swimming and makes it easier to maintain the correct swimming position. The Thunder wetsuit offers the optimal combination of flexibility, buoyancy and insulation. It combines Arena's hydrodynamic expertise with high quality materials tailored to the needs of the novice open water swimmer.
The suit is made of high quality and durable #38 Yamamoto limestone neoprene. No oil has been used in the manufacture of the ecological neoprene. The neoprene is reinforced with Nano SCS coating, which reduces water resistance and improves glide.
The wetsuit features three different thicknesses of neoprene, strategically placed to increase buoyancy, improve body positioning and allow room for movement. The thickest neoprene, 4 mm, is in the mid-body area, which stabilises and improves buoyancy. In the arms and shoulders, the thinnest 2 mm neoprene provides room for hand and upper body movement and reduces drag response. The 3 mm neoprene on the upper chest and legs keeps the legs warm and helps them stay close to the surface. The medium-weight neoprene offers the optimum combination of flexibility and buoyancy.
The neckline of the wetsuit is made of soft, non-abrasive material. The back has a traditional bottom-up zipper that is tight and easy to open and close. The seams, sewn with double hidden stitching, are durable and completely waterproof. Polyester lining on the inside.
The Thunder wetsuit complies with international competition standards. The suit is FINA, World Triathlon (ITU), Ironman and USAT approved.
