Influencer marketing in social media
It is important to us that influencer marketing is carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Consumer Ombudsman .
"Influencer marketing refers to commercial cooperation between companies and influencers, the goal of which is to promote the sale of the company's products or increase brand recognition. Commercial cooperation can arise, for example, in the way that a company and an influencer enter into an agreement on content production related to the company's products.
The final product of influencer marketing can be, for example, a video, audio or photo publication or blog post published by the influencer about the company or its products. Also the so-called acting as a brand ambassador is subject to the same advertising recognition rules as other influencer marketing.
The compensation the influencer receives from the company for marketing can be money or a monetary benefit, such as clothing, a gift card or a trip. Even if the received consideration is not money, it is still marketing.
Recognizability of advertising is covered by the Consumer Protection Act. The consumer has the right to know when an attempt is made to influence him commercially."
Marking of commercial cooperation
It is the duty of both the company and the influencer to ensure that the commercial purpose of influencer marketing is apparent, and that no hidden advertising is practiced. Marketing must stand out from other content so that the consumer knows when it is about commercial influence.
According to the Consumer Protection Act, marketing must clearly state its commercial purpose and on whose behalf it is being marketed. The rule is the same regardless of the media or the way the marketing is carried out.

- Please mark the commercial cooperation right at the beginning of the publication using the expression "commercial cooperation with Aquaction.fi"
- If the collaboration covers several publications as agreed, please make a note for each publication, not just the first one.
If you have received products for your use
- State right at the beginning of the publication that it is influencer marketing, for example with the expression "product received, avaction.fi"
- It is sufficient that the received product is reported when the product appears on your channel for the first time or when the product is essentially related to your publication (e.g. the product is explicitly discussed in the publication).
